Day 01 - Airport - Negombo
  • Meet and greet on arrival at Airport by our representative & proceed from Airport to Negombo
  • Negombo on the country’s western coast is a popular diving destination on account of twelve exceptional dive sites. Divers are treated to underwater landscapes ranging from pristine reefs full of fish to small rocky boulder strewn reefs. The wrecks of a WWII fighter aircraft and a 50 year old shipwreck now thriving marine colonies, are popular dive sites. The furthest dive spot the Third Reef offers clear blue water, excellent visibility and a diverse range of marine life.

Day 02 - Negombo - Polonnaruwa - Cultural Triangle
  • Proceed from Negombo to Polonnaruwa
  • The second most ancient of the country’s kingdoms Polonnaruwa was the capital of medieval Sri Lanka from the 11th to about the 13th century. As one of the best planned ancient cities, Polonnaruwa is home to a range of historic attractions that include monasteries, ancient stupas and Hindu and Buddhist places of worship. Some of the great irrigation works built during this time, seen when entering the city, are still in use today albeit with some improvements.

Day 03 - Cultural Triangle – Sigiriya - Cultural Triangle
  • Proceed to Sigiriya
  • One of the key archaeological sites in the cultural triangle, Sigiriya is a vast archaeological site dating from the 5th century. However it has been inhabited since pre historic times. The main attraction is the 80 meter granite rock with frescos of heavenly maidens and archaeological remains on top. The base of the rock is equally interesting with water and boulder gardens, a moat and old city walls. The onsite modern museum is the best place to start.

Day 04 - Cultural Triangle - Dambulla - Matale - Knuckles Mountain Range
  • Proceed from the Cultural Triangle to Dambulla
  • Dambulla Rock Cave temple which was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. And it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters.
  • Thereafter proceed from Dambulla to Matale
  • Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. Here, clients could see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed.

Day 05 - Knuckles
  • Proceed to Knuckles & experience a trekking at Knuckles mountain range
  • The pigmy forests of Knuckles mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site to the north of Kandy city, offers a unique biodiversity and several challenging trekking trails. Among the popular trails is one from Corbetts Gap to the salt peter caves and from the Knuckles Conservation Centre to mini world’s end escarpment at the southern end of the range.
  • You will be starting the trek through village home spice gardens, vegetable fields, rice fields, tea plantations, pigmy forests and plateaus. The trek is approximately about 8 kms one way and its 16 kms in total. At the end of the trail you would be able to swim at a base of a nice waterfall. You are expected to encounter with species such as Deer, Barking deer, Deer monkey and various types of Lizards. In this trek you will be climbing from 1200 ft to 1850 ft. On the way back you will be able to do some bird watching.

Day 06 - Knuckles – Kandy
  • Thereafter proceed from Knuckles to Kandy
  • Located in the central hills, Kandy was the capital of the country’s last kingdom. Among the many places of historical, religious, cultural and ecological significance is the Temple of the Tooth where the Buddha’s tooth relic is enshrined, the 200-year-old Kandy Lake, remains of the 700 year old royal palace, a royal forest reserve, several pieces of 18th and 19th century colonial architecture, historic Buddhist and Hindu temples, the country’s largest botanic garden and the tea museum in the Hantane hills.

Day 07 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Hatton
  • Proceed from Kandy to the Hill Country & do a city tour of Nuwara Eliya.
  • At an altitude of 1,868 meters Nuwara Eliya has a subtropical highland climate. When combined with a mean annual temperature of 16 degrees C it has the best conditions to host a variety of flowering plants, vertebrates, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, trees, shrubs, mosses and ferns making it an environment hotspot. Pidurutalagala at 2524 meters above sea level the country’s highest mountain peak looms over the town. The mountain is the catchment of some of the country’s major river systems. Nuwara Eliya is also famous for its tea plantations.

Day 08 - Hatton - Adams Peak - Hatton
  • Proceed from the Hill Country to Adams Peak In the night start climbing Adams Peak
  • Adam’s Peak or the Sri Pada is an important pilgrim site. Buddhist believe the impression on the summit is the footprint of Lord Buddha himself. Though it takes around 5 hours to reach the peak by foot, devotees of many religions climb the mountain daily to invoke blessings. The mountain is also named as Samanala Kanda or Butterfly Mountain.

Day 09- 10 - Hatton - Ella
  • Proceed from Hatton to Ella
  • On your leisure day do a tracking in Small Adams Peak
  • Thereafter spend the day free at leisure

Day 11 - Ella - Udawalawe - Singharaja
  • Breakfast at Hotel & thereafter proceed from Ella to Udawalawe
  • Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home is a place where closer to 35 baby elephants are being taken care of with minimum human interaction as they are separated from their mothers. Mothers of these babies are either killed or lost due to non-ending Elephant –human conflict in Sri Lanka.
  • The transit home provides food, medical care, everything a baby elephant needs. When the elephants are big and strong enough, they are released into wilderness and start living “normal” elephant life.A few times a day, visitors can enjoy the feeding hour, when the small elephants rush to drink milk and play with their mates. As any other babies, elephants like showing off, especially when spectators are around, which is also a great source of entertainment.
  • Thereafter proceed from Udawalawe to Sinharaja
  • Do a Tracking in Sinharaja Forest Reserve Covering an area of 8,864 ha ranging in altitude from 300 to 1,170 meters, Sinharaja is the last remaining relatively undisturbed patch of humid tropical evergreen forest in Sri Lanka. This UNESCO Heritage Site has some 139 species of endemic flora, 19 species of endemic avifauna and threatened and endangered endemic mammals such as leopard, Indian elephant and purple faced langur among other species. The forest has several hiking trails that offers access to waterfalls, streams and mountain peaks.

Day 12 - Sinharaja - Galle - Beach Hotel
  • Breakfast at Hotel & thereafter proceed from Sinharaja to Galle
  • After another game drive this morning we drive or cycle to Galle. Situated to the south of the capital Colombo, Galle is the most important town in the south. Once an important trading centre and reputedly to be the Biblical city of Tarshish, it is close to our destination for this evening. Galle is the ideal place to finish our tour, with time to relax on the beach, or snorkel in the clear waters. For those seeking pure relaxation, local Ayurvedic massages with natural, aromatic herbal oils are highly recommended.

Day 13 - Beach Hotel
  • Breakfast at Hotel & and spend the day at leisure
  • Optional Water Sports : Down south waters are famous for its shallow fringing reef, it is perfect for water sports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing and glass bottom boat rides. A wonder-spot for those who love the water.
